"Oakland International Airport is pleased to welcome Spirit Airlines, our newest carrier and the world's largest ultra low-cost carrier in America, Latin America and the Caribbean, as they launch service to the San Francisco Bay Area with three daily flights to Las Vegas. Las Vegas is a favorite destination for Bay Area travelers and Oakland is actively progressing efforts for new service," said Deborah Ale Flint, Director of Aviation for the Port of Oakland which owns and operates OAK. "Beginning in August, and with phenomenally low fares, the Spirit service also affords Las Vegans the opportunity to enjoy the cool summer lifestyle here in the Bay Area. We invite them to do so through the OAK gateway," she continued.
To celebrate, Spirit is offering $9 fares* (each way based on round trip purchase) at www.spirit.com available today and tomorrow.
