Kingfisher Airlines (IT), based in India, is a new Finnair AY partner airline and a future oneworld member. Finnair Plus members are already able to enjoy the benefits of this new partnership.
Finnair Plus member can now earn Finnair Plus points on scheduled Kingfisher flights and redeem AY Plus points to buy tickets to be used on Kingfisher flights. King Club members also accrue points on Finnair flights and may use their points for award flights on Finnair routes.
“Fliers from seven Indian cities can benefit from this partnership as this will give them a gateway to 60 European and 11 Asian destinations. The connectivity will be hassle-free as Finnair fliers will need one ticket for the entire journey to its European or Asian destination,” says Kari Stolbow, Finnair Director for the Indian Sub-Continent.
Finnair currently operates daily direct flights from New Delhi to Helsinki. Now Kingfisher flights from Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur and Ahmedabad will connect fliers to Finnair’s European and Asian daily network from Delhi Terminal 3.
Kingfisher Airlines flies to more than 70 destinations. Most flights are to destinations within India, but the airline also operates regularly for example to London and to other major cities in Asia. Kingfisher has a total fleet of almost 70 ATR and Airbus aircraft.
Kingfisher Airlines is one of the seven airlines to be ranked as a 5-star airline by the independent research consultancy firm Skytrax.
