easyJet to open service from Copenhagen to Paris

Danish passengers can book flights directly from Copenhagen to Paris CDG on easyJet starting today. The first flight on the service will be on 10 September 2010.

“We are pleased to be able to offer passengers a daily non-stop low-cost connection between Copenhagen and Paris CDG, which has so far only been served by the old national carriers SAS and Air France. Paris is a very important destination to both Danish tourists who like city breaks and business travellers who can all save big on flying with easyJet, said Thomas Haagensen, easyJet’s Regional General Manager for Northern Europe, and he continues:

“In recent years we have worked hard to make easyJet grow here at Copenhagen Airport, so the new service to Paris is a welcome expansion of the airline’s route network out of Copenhagen, said Ole Wieth Christensen, Route Development Manager at Copenhagen Airports about the service to Paris, which is easyJet’s third new route out of Copenhagen during the past year.

easyJet opened its first route between Copenhagen and London Stansted in 1998, and the airline now serves seven destinations out of Copenhagen. In 2009 alone, passengers benefited from three new easyJet services to and from Copenhagen.

Travellers can fly from Copenhagen to Paris CDG on Mondays to Fridays and on Sundays at 16.05, and on Saturdays at 18.25. The flights from Paris depart at 13.50 on Mondays to Fridays and on Sundays. On Saturdays, the departure time from Paris will be 16.10. The flight takes two hours.
