summer schedule Durham Tees Valley to Amsterdam

Travellers across the North East are now able to benefit from improved links thanks to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines new summer schedule from Durham Tees Valley to Amsterdam .

The three-times-a-day KLM flights to Schiphol Airport-one of Europe's most important international hubs--is widely used by the region's business community as well as long-haul leisure passengers.

The new schedule means an early morning departure from Durham Tees Valley at 06.15, with further flights departing at 09.20 and 13.45. Flights from Amsterdam arrive at 08.40, 13.05 and 22.05.

Henri Hourcade, AIR FRANCE KLM General Manager for the UK & Ireland says: "KLM very much values its customers from the North East and we are happy that this new Summer Schedule will enhance the travel offer from the region. We always look at enhancing our services and are particularly happy to offer new destinations such as Miami or Xiamen via Amsterdam for this summer. I trust our growing worldwide network will remain a success with business and leisure passengers from Durham Tess Valley Airport."

The importance of the KLM service is recognised by many local companies who increasingly operate on an international basis and strongly support the airport and the benefits of easy access to offices and clients across the world.

Leading ports agency company Casper Shipping, which has its headquarters on Teesside, is among the businesses for whom access to destinations across the world is vital and Managing Director Michael Shakesheff says having the local link from Durham Tees Valley is essential.

He explains "Shipping is a global business and we provide a wide range of services for the major ports centres in the North East of the UK-including Immingham, Hull and Grangemouth as well, of course, the Tees.

"Often we need to move ships' crews to and from a range of long-haul destinations and having a reliable and frequent link from Durham Tees Valley to Schiphol and the enormous range of international flights available form there is a major benefit to us."
