Ryanair has started direct service between London Stansted and Corfu, the first scheduled flight from the airport to the sun-drenched Greek island.
Starting on July 7, flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays with fares as low as £57.99 one-way, including tax.
This launch follows the recent announcement from Ryanair introducing a new route from Stansted to the Swedish city of Malmo. The daily service will begin on November 2, with fares starting from £27.00 one way inclusive of taxes. Ryanair now offers Stansted passengers a choice of four Swedish airports: Gothenburg, Malmo, Stockholm Skavsta and Stockholm Vasteras.
Speaking about the new route, Stansted’s Managing Director, Nick Barton, said: “Ryanair boosted our range of Greek connections in April with the launch of new services to Rhodes and Thessaloniki, and I’m sure this new connection to Corfu will prove just as popular.
“London Stansted offers more scheduled flights throughout Europe than any other airport in the world, so we’re delighted to add Corfu to our scheduled route network, and wish Ryanair every success.”
Ryanair's Sales and Marketing Executive, Maria Macken, added: “Ryanair is delighted to launch its first service between the Greek island of Corfu and London Stansted this summer. With fares as low as £57.99 one-way including tax, passengers are urged to visit www.ryanair.com to snap up their low fare connection to Corfu.”
