Korean Air will start scheduled Airbus A380 flight between Seoul and Tokyo and Hong Kong from June 1.
The service will fly between Tokyo Narita airport and Seoul Incheon with the flight leaving Incheon International Airport at 10:10 a.m. Upon returning to Seoul, it will depart for Hong Kong that afternoon
The introduction of the super jumbo aircraft is expected to increase passengers from China, Japan, and East Asia transferring to the US and Europe, accelerating Incheon International Airport's goal of becoming a global aviation hub.
The SkyTeam member airline is configuring airbus a380 with just 407 seats, including an all-business class upper deck of 94 seats and a lower deck comprising 12 first-class and 301 economy-class seats.
Korean Air’s Business Class full-flat bed with 188cm (74 inches) between seats and extra large seat partitions offering the comfort and privacy normally reserved for First Class passengers on other airlines. The Economy Class seats are spaced at 86cm (34 inches) apart and Korean Air’s Prestige Class pitch is 188cm (74 inches).
Korean Air has ordered 10 A380 aircraft with the first five to be delivered by the end of 2011 and an additional five by 2014.
