AvReps CEO/General Manager, John H. Jackson has announced that effective immediately, Aviareps, AG has acquired 75% of the AvReps stock and a new U. S. (Aviareps,Inc.) company has been formed to spearhead the growth and globalization of the Aviareps Group. Aviareps AG is one of the largest European Airline Management companies, representing more than 40 airlines in its current portfolio. They are also involved in other travel related ventures such as hotel representation and destination management and other aviation related business's including airline charter programs. AvReps was a similar company with very much the same philosophy and approach. As a member of the AvGroup, AvReps had established a recognized position in the South/Central America, Caribbean and Mexican markets, in addition to strengths in the North American market. Jackson said that the new company was formed in order to take full advantage of the strong branding of the Aviareps name. Fraser Teasdale has been appointed as the President and CEO of the company. Jackson will assume the post of Vice President Business Development. Fraser is very much an aviator and has a varied and diverse background in aviation and has worked for Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Gulf Air. He was very instrumental in setting up Qatar Airways and was until recently Sales & Marketing Manager for Europe and North America. He is very excited about the new venture, which is an enhancement to the already strong and dedicated company and one that will allow a broadening of horizons.
