Direct Air service to Allentown Lehigh Valley Airport

Direct Air announces the start of its third year of service from Lehigh Valley International Airport with lower fares. The company has made available its new Spring and Summer 2011 schedule to its highly successful seasonal Florida destination of Punta Gorda, located in the greater Fort Myers area.

Direct Air, an air service based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, currently operates air service from Allentown and the following cities: Kalamazoo, Mich.; Worcester, Mass.; Toledo, Oh.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Columbus, Oh.; Springfield, Ill.; Plattsburgh, N.Y.; Rockford, Ill.; and Newark, N.J. to Myrtle Beach, Punta Gorda, West Palm Beach, Melbourne and Orlando-Sanford. The company has flown a million passengers since the beginning of operations in 2007.

To celebrate the beginning of a new year from Lehigh Valley, all Direct Air flights to Punta Gorda will begin at just $69.00 plus tax for a limited time. Customers may book online at www.visitdirectair.com or toll-free at 1.877.432.DIRECT (877.432.3473).

“We wanted to show our appreciation to our friends in the Allentown area for their continued support” says Ed Warneck, Direct Air Managing Partner. “The $69 starting fare is the lowest standard airfare that Direct Air has ever offered. Like all of our fares, this special low fare is based on seating availability, so we encourage everyone to book early to get the best possible rate.”

“The response from Allentown continues to be strong” says Managing Partner Judy Tull. “Since our first flight from Allentown three years ago, over 20,000 passengers have used our air services, with thousands more booked for future travel. We’re reaffirming our commitment to Allentown and look forward to another successful year of serving our customers from eastern Pennsylvania.”

Flights are Public Charters operated by Xtra Airways, Aviation Advantage/Sky King, Dynamic Air and Vision Air. Advertised airfares are one-way and include Federal Excise Tax of 7.5%. Airfares do not include September 11th Security Fees of $2.50 per person, Federal Flight Segment Taxes of $3.70 per person, Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) of up to $4.50 per person, and Convenience Fees of $10 per person each way.
